Young Thug Reacts to Kendrick Lamar Calling Out Drake’s Ties to Atlanta

Young Thug has finally weighed in on Kendrick Lamar’s pointed bars in “Not Like Us,” where Kendrick called out Drake’s ties to Atlanta artists.

In the track, Kendrick raps:

“You called Future when you didn’t see the club / Lil Baby helped you get your lingo up / 21 gave you false street cred / Thug made you feel like you a slime in your head / Quavo said you can be from Northside / 2 Chainz say you good, but he lied.”

In a recent GQ interview, Thug responded, saying, “Yeah, he just spoke on people’s name in Atlanta. I don’t know what that was about. I’m a Drake fan.”

While Thug was incarcerated, his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist kept him updated on the Drake-Kendrick feud.

She mentioned playing the diss tracks for him over the phone, noting that he found the situation interesting and appreciated both artists' music.

Adding another layer to their bond, reports surfaced that Drake allegedly gave Young Thug $1 million shortly after his release from jail.

According to Akademiks, Drake flew to see Thug within two hours of his release and handed him the money.

Neither artist has confirmed this, but it underscores their close relationship.

Thug's loyalty to Drake is evident, and his response to Kendrick's lyrics suggests he wasn't impressed with the name-drops.

As the rap world watches this triangle unfold, it's clear that alliances are being tested, and the Atlanta connection remains a focal point.
