Tory Lanez Stabbing Suspect Identified as Convicted Murderer Serving Life Sentence

The inmate who allegedly stabbed Tory Lanez in prison has been identified as 42-year-old Santino Casio, a convicted murderer with a violent record.
Casio is serving a life sentence for a 2004 second-degree murder conviction, along with attempted murder and assault charges.
In 2008, he received an additional six-year sentence for assaulting another inmate with a weapon and two more years later for manufacturing a weapon in prison.
On May 12, Casio allegedly attacked Lanez, leaving him with 14 stab wounds, seven to his back, four to his torso, two to his head, and one to his face.
Both of Lanez’s lungs collapsed, requiring emergency medical treatment.
Lanez is now in stable condition and recovering.
Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack, and the Kern County District Attorney's Office is considering additional charges.
Lanez is serving a 10-year sentence for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion and is eligible for parole in 2029.
