RJMrLA Celebrates 10-Year Milestone With Sold-Out L.A. Show, Speaks On DJ Quik vs. Dr. Dre

Los Angeles rapper RJMrLA marked a monumental moment in his career this week, celebrating the 10th anniversary of his breakout O.M.M.I.O. mixtape series with a sold-out show at The Novo in downtown L.A.

The concert doubled as a showcase for his newest release, O.M.M.I.O. 4, which continues the mixtape legacy he launched in 2013. Fans packed the venue to celebrate a decade of his music and evolution.

Backstage, RJ spoke with TMZ, crediting the synergy of the L.A. scene—including frequent collaborators YG and DJ Mustard—for fueling his success. He also weighed in on speculation around a potential Verzuz battle between West Coast legends Dr. Dre and DJ Quik—suggesting both should face off for the culture, while reaffirming respect for both producers.

Despite working closely with mainstream superstars, RJ positioned himself as a proud gatekeeper of West Coast culture. He listed several rising L.A. artists to watch and highlighted his commitment to showcasing community solidarity over conflict.
