Legendary Pro Wrestler, Hulk Hogan, Dead At 71 Following Cardiac Arrest

Hulk Hogan, the legendary pro wrestler known as the “Hulkster,” has died at 71 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Emergency responders arrived just before 10 a.m. and transported him to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

WWE confirmed his passing and honored him as one of the most influential figures in wrestling history—credited with globalizing the sport in the 1980s through his charisma and unforgettable persona.

Despite years of chronic pain and recent neck surgery, Hogan remained active, even launching a new wrestling promotion earlier this year.

Tributes have poured in from fellow wrestling legends and fans around the world. Ric Flair, Triple H, and many others have expressed their sorrow, reflecting on his larger-than-life legacy.

Born Terry Gene Bollea in Georgia in 1953, Hogan was a six-time heavyweight champion across WWF/WWE and WCW, headlining historic matches including WrestleMania III. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice.

Beyond wrestling, Hogan made waves in pop culture—starring in Rocky III, appearing on reality TV, and releasing music and branded merchandise.

He is survived by his wife Sky Daily and his children, Brooke and Nick. His passing closes a monumental chapter in sports entertainment history, but his influence and memory will endure for generations.
