Kendrick Lamar Joins Chanel as New Brand Ambassador in Bold Fashion Move

Kendrick Lamar has officially been named Chanel’s newest brand ambassador, marking a major step in his growing presence in the fashion world.

The Compton rapper is set to lead Chanel’s upcoming eyewear campaign, which launches this week.

In a statement, Lamar said, “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”

Bruno Pavlovsky, Chanel’s fashion president, highlighted the importance of eyewear to the brand’s identity, calling it more than just an accessory—“a finishing touch to the silhouette.”

This isn’t Lamar’s first collaboration with the fashion house.

Back in January 2024, he helped design the set for Chanel’s Spring-Summer Haute Couture show and scored the short film The Button, directed by longtime creative partner Dave Free.

The film starred Margaret Qualley and Naomi Campbell and centered on themes of imperfection and timelessness.

With this partnership, Lamar continues to blur the lines between music, art, and luxury fashion.
