Joey Bada$$ Blasts Columbia Records Over Album Delay, Issues Ultimatum

Joey Bada$$ is livid with Columbia Records after announcing that his upcoming album Lonely at the Top — originally slated for August 1 — has been delayed due to the label’s hold-up. He claims the label sat on the project and asked him to inform fans about the delay; instead, he announced the release date himself, only to be contradicted later.

Joey unleashed his frustration via Instagram Live, flipping off the label and delivering a profanity-laced tirade—demanding Columbia “taste his babymaker” if they continued to mess with his rollout. His anger stems from the belief that no sample clearance or guest features were causing the hold-up; according to him, the only obstacle is label bureaucracy.

Uncut and unapologetic, Joey gave Columbia until Monday to sort things out—or he’ll take further action. With the diss track-style visuals and explicit deadlines, the situation is now a full-blown conflict between artist and industry machine.
