Feds Say They Tapped 20,000 Calls in Big U’s Ongoing RICO Case

Federal prosecutors have compiled a massive trove of evidence in their RICO case against Eugene "Big U" Henley, a well-known figure in the Los Angeles hip-hop scene and alleged leader of the Rollin' 60s Crips.
According to court documents, over 20,000 phone calls were intercepted as part of the investigation.
Authorities also collected a large volume of audio and video recordings, totaling more than 60 gigabytes of data.
This evidence is part of a sweeping 43-count indictment that includes charges like conspiracy to violate the RICO Act, Hobbs Act robbery, extortion, wire fraud, embezzlement, and tax evasion.
Big U has denied the allegations, saying he’s being targeted for his community outreach efforts.
The trial is set to begin on May 20, 2025, though some co-defendants are pushing for a delay until May 2026 due to scheduling conflicts.
