Diddy Responds To 2016 Footage Of Cassie Assault

Sean "Diddy" Combs issued a public apology after a 2016 video surfaced showing him physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The video, released by CNN, depicts Combs grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Ventura at the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

In a video posted on Instagram, Combs described his behavior as inexcusable and took full responsibility for his actions. He stated that he sought professional help and went to therapy and rehab following the incident. Ventura's attorney, Meredith Firetog, criticized Combs' apology, stating it was self-serving and came only after the video confirmed his actions.

The disturbing footage aligns with allegations Ventura made in a lawsuit filed in November 2023, which included claims of years of violence and sexual abuse by Combs. The lawsuit, which was settled the day after filing, detailed multiple instances of physical abuse, including the March 2016 incident shown in the video. Combs has faced additional lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct and other crimes, which he has denied.
