We've got some heavy news to drop about Dennis "DJ" Hernandez, the brother of the late football star, Aaron Hernandez.

DJ, who's been in and out of the system this year, has found himself in hot water once again. This time, with talk of him planning school shootings at the University of Connecticut and Brown University.

The Bristol police have charged him with threatening. People have been stepping up, saying DJ's been acting out of pocket lately in general. One person even said his mental health is on a downward spiral.

An ex-girlfriend of DJ's spilled some tea to the Bristol police. She said DJ had been scoping out the campuses of UConn and Brown, like he was mapping them out for a "school shooting." She claimed he'd been inside a bunch of classrooms and buildings on the Storrs campus.

The police also got wind of some threatening texts DJ sent, talking about UConn. These texts were sent to his ex-girlfriend and a family member. DJ's been wildin' out on social media too, posting threats aimed at people he feels have done him wrong.

DJ was taken to the hospital, where he kept up with the threats, saying he'd take out anyone who made money off his brother. After he was released from the hospital, he was held on a $250,000 bond at the Bristol Police Department and then handed over to the Department of Correction.

This ain't DJ's first run-in with the law. He was first arrested back in May after a police chase. Then, just days later, he was arrested again for throwing a bag with a brick and a note at ESPN’s campus in Bristol. Earlier this month, he missed a court date for the ESPN incident, which led to his third arrest.

DJ is the brother of Aaron Hernandez, a Bristol-native who played for the New England Patriots and was convicted of murder. Aaron later took his own life in prison.
